Stand by me 1986

The classic movie who made to remembering for years, with nominations for the coming of age comedy-drama film Stand by Me (1986), who was directed by Rob Reiner, recognized by the Directors Guild of America.

“After learning that a stranger has been accidentally killed near their rural homes, four Oregon boys decide to go see the body. On the way, Gordie Lachance (Wil Wheaton), Vern Tessio (Jerry O’Connell), Chris Chembers (River Phoenix) and Teddy Duchamp (Corey Feldman) encounter a mean junk man and a marsh full of leeches, as they also learn more about one another and their very different home lives. Just a lark at first, the boys’ adventure evolves into a defining event in their lives.”

At the age of 15, River Phoenix had a significant role in Rob Reiner’s popular coming-of-age film Stand By Me (1986), which made him a household name. In early 1989, Phoenix was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (as well as for a Golden Globe), and received the Best Supporting Actor honor from the National Board of Review for his role in Running on Empty. During the early morning hours of October 31, 1993, Phoenix suffered a drug overdose. Further attempts to resuscitate Phoenix, was pronounced dead at 1:51 am. At the morning of October 31, 1993,  River died at the age of 23.

Richard William Wheaton III (born July 29, 1972) is an American actor, blogger, voice actor and writer. He is known for his portrayals of Wesley Crusher on the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, Gordie Lachance in the film Stand by Me.

Corey Scott Feldman (born July 16, 1971) is an American actor and singer. He became well-known during the 1980s, with roles as a youth in films such as The Fox and the Hound, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, The Goonies, Stand by me, The Lost Boys, Gremlins and The ‘Burbs. Feldman is also the lead singer for the rock band Truth Movement.

Jeremiah “Jerry” O’Connell is an American actor, best known for his roles as Quinn Mallory in the TV series Sliders, Andrew Clements in My Secret Identity, Vern Tessio in the film Stand by Me.

Benjamin Earl King (September 28, 1938 – April 30, 2015), known as Ben E. King, was an American soul and R&B singer and record producer. He was perhaps the best known as the singer and of “Stand by Me.” Since 1961 to present his song is always in any radio station as it’s the hit Songs of the Century. Numbers movies used his song for their themes and like the Stand by Me. King has been covered by acts from several genres. In memory of Ben E. King the best song ever.
